Responsibilities

Develop deep, on-the-ground understanding of local financial markets and their political and economic context
Monitor and interpret local political, regulatory, and macroeconomic developments and assess their market impact
Identify emerging market regimes, structural shifts, and non-obvious risks or opportunities
Provide qualitative context for market anomalies and dislocations not captured by quantitative data
Serve as a local intelligence bridge between regional markets and global investment teams
Produce clear, structured intelligence outputs including regular briefings and ad-hoc notes
Build and maintain relevant local networks in a compliant and ethical manner

Must be based locally in one of the covered regions (Hong Kong for Greater China/Asia ex-Japan, Mumbai/Delhi/Bengaluru for India, or Dubai/Abu Dhabi for MENA)
Strong, first-hand familiarity with local financial markets through professional experience or deep market involvement
Solid understanding of market structure, capital flows, and the interaction between policy, politics, and markets
Ability to identify and articulate market dynamics not visible in standard datasets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in buy-side or sell-side research, exchanges, market infrastructure, or policy roles is highly valued
Multilingual ability relevant to the region (Cantonese/Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic) is preferred
